Before Milo came into my life I had a tiny, 5-pound fox terrier named Nike who I loved very much. Nike, who often traveled with me in my bag, was born on July 2, 1978 and lived to be almost 19 years old. She died February 3, 1997. After a year of grieving I heard about the plight of the greyhounds and in April, 1998 I adopted an 80-pound, 7-year old greyhound named Milo. Just before Nike died I adopted a kitten that had been found in a field with his litter mates, their mother was dead and the vet cared for them until they were old enough to be adopted. His name is Yves and he's a real devil! He and Milo were great friends. Here are some photos of Milo with Yves.
